Spring makeup on a budget
Concealers and lip color to get you ready for spring.
I can’t wait for spring! With my favorite time of the year just around the corner I love finding a great new makeup look for the season! My favorite thing to do is find great new lip colors that really make my spring looks pop! E.L.F Cosmetics is making my life super easy by having amazing new colors great for spring! I love their lip colors for a few reasons: they have a ton to choose from, stay on great and they are super inexpensive! Here are my top 10 matte lip colors!
- Hot Commodity
- Dash of Pink
- Mulberry Maven
- Coral
- Peach
- Rich Red (this is a classic color great all year)
- Nearly Nude
- Tea Rose
- Fuchsia
- Natural
These 10 matte lip colors can be found right here at elfcosmetics.com!
Now that I have my lip color options, my next goal is a great concealer! Having a fresh face is always my goal when it comes to my everyday make up look, but with late nights and early mornings I definitely need some help achieving that look! Here are five of concealers that get the job done! E.L.F. Maximum Coverage Concealer is oil free and it is only $3! One of my favorite for those extra rough nights is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind, not only does it cover up your dark circles but takes away any puffiness you may have! Bare Minerals Well-Rested Eye Brightener is an award winning brightener that in my opinion is amazing at hiding dark circles! Cover Girl’s Smoothers Concealer is also a great option. It provides lightness but is heavy enough to cover up the toughest blemishes. Last but not least, Sephora’s Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer. Every one of these concealers not only does a great job of covering up dark circles and blemishes, they are all very reasonably priced making every sleep deprived mommy happy!!
** I am not being sponsored or paid by any of these brands I mentioned in my post. These are my honest opinions of all the products.

Pintrest #3
I'm really loving do my Pintrest recreates!! I hope you all are loving them as much as me!! My third look was inspired by this Pintrest look
I'm wearing a pair of Loft boyfriend jeans, (get them here) a maroon tee from ASOS, (similar from Nordstrom here) a pair of black pumps from Old Navy (get them here) and a black bag I have had for so long I don't remember where I got it from (similar from Old navy here). Being a mom of three small children (3,2, 6 months) comfort is very important to me but being a lover of fashion so is style. Its hard for me to find both of these things, so finding a stylish but comfortable outfit was a huge win in my book!! If you swap out the heels for ballet flats you have a much more practical everyday day outfit!

Fall Booties
Now that Fall is upon us, my absolute favorite style trend is here as well! The booty! I wear my booties every chance I get during the cooler seasons. They are so versatile; you can wear them with anything and really get creative so you can let your unique style show!
There are so many different booties and so many adorable ways to wear them!! Wear them with leggings, jeans, dresses, and the list can go on! Here are my three favorite booties and styles of the season!!
Look one: paring your booties with socks. I love this style add tights or leggings and you have a comfy but stylish look! If you love this booty shop for them here
Look two: Wearing your booties with a skirt! Wearing with a mini is my favorite but you can definitely style with a long skirt or dress! Similar style here
Look three: I LOVE these booties!! Fringe is a popular trend I'm seeing for this fall, because of the fringe you don't need to do anything to spruce up the look. Just cuff your favorite pair of jeans and your set to go! Get these booties here!

Pintrest Recreate #2
For my second Pintrest recreate I had my ever so talented sister-in-law photographer and owner of MM Photo and Design take my photos. She is so talented and if anyone in the area needs a photographer you need my sister-in-law! Now to the outfit. I found this super cute and easy outfit on Pintrest that I thought would be an easy outfit to transition from summer to fall.
I took my ripped jeans (similar here )and a flowy white top from Loft (similar here) then my favorite pink pumps and re-created this look!
Comment with some of your favorite outfits to transition to fall!

5 must haves when traveling with kids!
After traveling up north to visit family for the past 7 days were finally home and Dorothy was so right when she said "there's no place like home". Traveling with young kids is challenging and not always the most delightful event but since most of my family live anywhere from 5 to 17 hours away, I've been doing it since my oldest daughter Ella was three months old. She is now 3. I take about 3 road trips a year. Truthfully the younger they are the easier they are on the trip. Once they hit 6 months and older it gets trickier and trickier. The key is making sure they are comfortable and entertained. Here are my top five items I can not and will not travel with out when traveling with my kids.
Portable DVD player: If the right movie is playing this can keep my kids occupied for 70% of the trip.
Stickers: As long as you don't mind your child covering themselves and your vehicle with stickers this is a great activity. You can get packets of stickers and a sheet of paper and you have entertainment for a good 15 minutes!
Snacks: I love traveling with applesauce pouches and juice boxes! They are easy for kids to eat in the car (I would say they are mess free but I always have one child who squeezes too hard and they squirt everywhere). Fruit snacks are a favorite of my kids so they are a must have! I also use them to reward my kids for behaving well during the car ride! Your kids favorite snacks are the best to get especially things they don't get all the time.
Extra clothes: I dress my kids in comfortable clothes (I even have put them in pj's before) and I always have extra clothes in my car for them. This way if they have any kind of accident I don't have to unpack my car to get them new clothes. This is a big one for me because usually at least one of my babies needs to change their clothes. It actually is a good idea to have a change of clothes for the adults traveling as well, just in case your child's mess gets on you :)
Music: Your child's favorite songs are also a great way to keep them entertained during the ride!
Some additional tips are: stopping every three hours so their diapers can be changed or use bathroom, stretch their legs and just get out of their car seat. Also starting your travel time around when they will be sleeping is a great time to leave. If you can travel at night ( I can't do this) it's a really great option for the kids, but not always for you. My final and most important tip is having a sense of humor because at some point something will happen that the best thing to do is laugh your way through it!

Pinterest recreate
I loved doing this post!! It was so much fun recreating this cute outfit from things in my closet!! Daniel and I went on our first date last night since Harper was born and I thought this outfit I pined on Pintrest would be perfect for what we had planed! Dinner and a movie! I recreated this outfit by wearing my skinny jeans, paired with my magenta tank and floral kimono (which I'm living in right now!) then of course my magenta strapy heels that I wear every chance I get! I felt great in this outfit and had a wonderful time with my hubs!! Comment below if there is a Pintrest outfits that you would like me to recreate!!
